McKEES ROCKS, Pa. — An animal control company in McKees Rocks was shut down by the Department of Agriculture after two unannounced inspections.

Triangle Pet was closed after a department spokesman said they performed the inspections in August.

Inspectors said they found several violations, including open drains and waste found in dog kennels.

The finding led officials to suspend the shelter's license. The suspension came after the owner of the shelter was charged with falsifying records last year.

Bernard Dudash is accused of billing cities and towns for euthanizing dogs that did not exist.

Officials from Triangle Pet said they are appealing the suspension. A hearing is scheduled for December 4.
