A short-term closure of the McKees Rocks Bridge is planned for Wednesday afternoon, weather permitting.
The McKees Rocks Bridge will close to traffic in each direction from noon to 3 p.m. as crews perform pavement marking operations on Route 3014 in McKees Rocks.
Traffic will be detoured via the West End Bridge.
Phase Two of the $22.4 million bridge preservation project extends between Route 51 and Route 65, according to PennDOT. As work occurs, traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction, with occasional truck and turning-lane detours occurring at the West End Bridge as needed.
The project is anticipated to conclude in fall 2024.
