WASHINGTON, Pa. — Members of the Fairhill Manor Christian Church are counting their blessings after a car crashed into the building overnight Saturday.
Associate Pastor Gena Sheller showed Channel 11 the damage firsthand, starting from Shirls Avenue, where she believes the car came from.
The path of destruction included the church’s sign getting destroyed after the car plowed through it, took out a light pole, and crashed into the concrete stairs.
Washington County dispatchers told Channel 11 that at least two people were flown to the hospital and another was in police custody.
The church building itself only sustained minimal damage, according to Sheller, who believes it was divine intervention that saved it.
