Miami-based Jetset Pilates signs lease on Walnut Street, eyes up to 6 Pittsburgh locations

PITTSBURGH — What’s been a fast-moving wellness trend of boutique fitness studios becoming an increasingly important retail tenant will soon land on one of Pittsburgh’s most upscale shopping districts.

Jetset Pilates, a Miami-based reform pilates franchise on an aggressive expansion trajectory, has signed a lease for 5533 Walnut Street, the former location of the women’s clothing boutique Apricot Lane, and expects to open in the new year.

Herky Pollock, president and CEO of Legacy Realty Partners, represents new local franchisee Joe and Marissa Rosenbloom, whose family is a major property owner on Walnut Street, to reach a lease agreement for the first Jetset operation in western Pennsylvania.
