Missing dog successfully reunited with owner in Monongahela

MONONGAHELA, Pa. — A missing dog was successfully reunited with its owner Tuesday morning in Monongahela.

Police said Snoopy, a 6-year-old mixed breed, ran from her home in Monongahela on Sunday, and had been missing since.

On Tuesday morning, a resident of Market Street in Belle Vernon found Snoopy and brought her to the Southwestern Regional Police Department.

According to police, they were able to identify Snoopy’s owner by using a scanner that was obtained through a grant out of the state of California.

Officials at the police department were able to identify Snoopy’s owner as Ethel Turosik, and they notified her.
