NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, Pa. — A Pennsylvania mother is outraged after a judge ordered her to stop breast-feeding so her daughter can have overnight visitations with her father.

At a custody hearing, a judge ruled 10-month-old Jasmine must stay with her father overnight for two days, leaving the mother with few options to feed her baby.

Jessica Moser said she can’t pump enough milk to feed Jasmine for two days, and she won’t take a bottle.

Moser said she’s passionate about her right to breastfeed.

“He said something along the lines of like, ‘Well, she should be on formula,’ or ‘Why isn’t she on formula? She should be able to have formula at 10 months,’” Moser said.

If Jessica doesn’t follow the court order, Jasmine could be taken away, officials said.
