Moon Twp. business owner admits to stealing from customers, says he'll repay them

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The owner of a Moon Township business who admitted to stealing thousands of dollars from his customers apologized outside of court Tuesday.

“I did a lot of things these past years I'm not proud of, and I'm here today trying to make right with everything,” Tint Plus II owner Tim Sites told Channel 11 News. “I’m very sorry. I'm here trying to make right. I’m not running from anybody. I'm not hiding anymore.”

Sites said an addiction to heroin and cocaine drove him to steal, but after doing jail time and undergoing rehab, he said he’s a changed man.

One of his alleged victims, Pamela Stewart, said she paid $650 for a set of winter tires that she never got.

“He knew all the time he wasn't going to do what he was supposed to do. Matter of fact, he took the money and didn't put it in the cash register. He put it in his pocket,” Stewart said.

Meanwhile, Sites’ defense attorney, Thomas Will, said he hopes to come up with the restitution to satisfy the victims.

Sites repaid two customers Tuesday, but there are about 15 more who are awaiting repayment.

Will said Sites intends to pay back nearly $20,000 in services not performed.
