JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — More than a dozen neglected and abandoned dogs were rescued from a Johnstown home Wednesday.
Investigators said they found the 16 animals in the basement of a home on Coal Street.
Officials said they found as many as four dogs crammed into one small cage.
Neighbors said they had been complaining about the owner for months.
“My aunt was afraid to call, but I wasn’t afraid to call. Those animals need taken care of,” one neighbor said.
The dogs are now being cared for by the Cambria County Humane Society.
So far, there is no word on if any charges will be faced.
