PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Police rescued 12 animals from a house where multiple dogs were found dead inside.
According to a public information officer, Animal Care and Control officers responded to a call on Barr Avenue in Westwood after receiving complaints.
Officials said three dogs were found dead inside the house, which was in deplorable condition.
Police said 11 dogs and one cat were rescued and taken to the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh.
Investigators are working to learn whether or not the house was abandoned.
No charges have been filed at this time.
