NASA administrator pitches tri-state companies on aiding US moon missions

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman closed out the Keystone Space Collaborative’s annual conference, pitching local firms on the agency’s moon efforts.

The co-founder of defense aerospace firm Draken International, Isaacman is also a former commercial space pilot who led the 2024 Polaris Dawn mission to space, piloting a SpaceX rocket further into space than any humans had gone since Apollo 17. He was first nominated for the NASA role early in President Donald Trump’s second term, before that nomination was then rescinded, before being re-nominated and confirmed at the end of last year.

Isaacman is currently largely focused on NASA’s Artemis missions, which aim to put humans back on the lunar surface and create a moon base, efforts that Isaacman discussed at length.
