PENN HILLS, Pa. — One man has died in a Penn Hills shooting Friday night, according to Allegheny County police.
“I was sleeping, and then I just heard a ‘pop, pop, pop,’” said Marvin Booker, a nearby neighbor.
Booker said he was asleep when he heard the gunshots and ran to his window to see what was going on.
He said he saw a black car — possibly the potential shooter’s vehicle — for just a moment.
“All the lights were out (on the car). Next thing I knew, he sped off and almost hit my truck. He gets down to where you can make the left. That’s when he turned his lights on and kept going straight,” Booker said.

On Friday evening around 8:30 p.m., police responded to the 300 block of Crescent Garden Drive.
They found several cars hit by bullets and one bullet hole through a window.
Police confirmed that inside the home, they found 31-year-old Dwight Nolan dead.
“I just didn’t expect anything like that. It just totally threw me off-guard,” said Mike Grubbs.
Mike Grubbs was at work when his daughter called and told him there had been a shooting on their street.

“My understanding is the individual actually parked in front of my house and walked up (before shooting),” Grubbs said.
Both neighbors said the street is fairly quiet, but when there were issues, it was always that same house.
“Generally, it’s pretty good. There are a few families where you see the police come every now and then, like that house up there,” Booker said.
“It’s a great neighborhood. I’ve never had a problem with it. Neighbors are really friendly,” Grubbs added.
Police have not shared any information about a suspect or a motive, but on Monday, they told Channel 11 News they are still actively investigating.
