Next set of stars on Pittsburgh’s Walk of Fame installed ahead of ceremony next week

PITTSBURGH — The next set of markers were installed on Pittsburgh’s Walk of Fame early Monday.

A crane was used to position granite blocks onto the Smallman Street sidewalk.

Ten inductees will be honored this year, including sportscaster and creator of the Terrible Towel Myron Cope, dancer and choreographer Martha Graham, photographer Charles “Teenie” Harris, Pittsburgh Steeler and civic leader Franco Harris, entrepreneur H. J. Heinz, actress and singer Shirley Jones, Pittsburgh Penguins player/owner and philanthropist Mario Lemieux, composer Henry Mancini, actor Jimmy Stewart, and inventor and industrialist George Westinghouse.

Each of the ten stones is embedded with a bronze star and plaque, cast by Matthews Architectural Products.

The Pittsburgh Walk of Fame is being installed on Monday, Oct. 5, and final preparations for the 2026 induction ceremony are underway.

The induction ceremony for the ten inductees will be next Tuesday, October 13 at The Terminal.
