PITTSBURGH — Officials announced that 77 Pittsburgh businesses will be getting a combined total of more than $1.1 million in investments as part of the city’s “Main and Main” initiative.

The program grants funds to businesses and organizations for commercial facade upgrades.

“It’s not just Downtown. It’s in our neighborhoods, because our neighborhoods and our small businesses are the lifeblood that creates opportunity and vibrancy and makes Pittsburgh a destination for everyone to live,” Mayor Corey O’Connor said.

Officials say the improvements will strengthen commercial corridors and improve residents’ lives by increasing economic activity.
