Jones said two police officers were at a convenience store on Fourth Avenue when they heard gunshots and saw a vehicle speed away.
Singleton, who was wounded, pulled into the parking lot. He was later pronounced dead at Heritage Valley Beaver Hospital.
A woman who was a passenger in the car was treated for an injury and released, Jones said. There was an infant in the car who was not hurt.
According to Jones, several shots hit Singleton’s car. He said it appeared that another vehicle overtook Singleton’s several blocks away from the convenience store, and someone fired several times.
No arrests have been made.
