PITTSBURGH — Orange Arrow celebrated its 10th year anniversary on Saturday and took some time to reflect on the death of one of its biggest contributors, Franco Harris.
The organization helps student-athletes in Pittsburgh succeed off the field by teaching skills that can be useful in different fields.
Athletes can be trained in impromptu speaking, communication, leadership, financial literacy, dining etiquette and how to build cross-cultural relationships.
Harris was a big contributor to Orange Arrow. He was supposed to be the emcee of the 10-year anniversary event but died in December.

“Franco, you talk about embodying, being more than an athlete, there’s no better example than Mr. Franco Harris,” said Shawn Robinson, president of Orange Arrow. “Truly miss my friend and our advisor.”
A picture of Franco Harris made entirely of footballs was presented to Franco’s son, Doc.
