‘Our voice matters’: Local Black leaders hold rally, stress importance of voter turnout

PITTSBURGH — Local leaders held a rally in Homewood South on Sunday to encourage residents to vote.

Black leaders with Get Out the Vote put together the rally, which focused on increasing voter turnout and raising awareness about early voting procedures ahead of the upcoming midterm election.

“Our voice matters,” Minister Robin Spencer said. “The decisions we make today will help shape the future of our neighborhoods, our schools, our families and opportunities for future generations.”
