PITTSBURGH — A box truck overturned along inbound I-279 in Pittsburgh on Tuesday morning, causing major backups.
Our photographer could see the truck leaning against the median near the East Street exit.
PennDOT cameras showed two lanes shut down in the area of the crash, and traffic backed up for miles, past the Bellevue exit at times.
All lanes reopened by 11:30 a.m.
Due to the crash, PennDOT closed HOV lanes early. HOV lanes reopened by 12:30 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
