PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Penguins announced Friday that the team will wear a new third jersey this upcoming season for 12 games.
The Penguins will wear the “Pittsburgh Gold” jersey for the first time on Wednesday Oct. 22 when they host the Philadelphia Flyers at Consol Energy Center.
The Pens will also wear the jerseys in the following games:
Nov. 15 vs. New York Rangers
Nov. 26 vs. Toronto Maple Leafs
Dec. 8 vs. New York Rangers
Dec. 18 vs. Colorado Avalanche
Dec. 31 vs. Carolina Hurricanes
Jan. 13 vs. Minnesota Wild
Jan. 21 vs. Chicago Blackhawks
Feb. 17 vs. Washington Capitals
March 14 vs. Boston Bruins
March 15 vs. Detroit Red Wings
April 1 vs. Philadelphia Flyers
The jerseys are now on sale at the PensGear stores at Consol Energy Center and South Side Works.
