ROCHESTER BOROUGH, Pa. — A massive roadwork project in Beaver County is ending early.
Work on Adams Street in Rochester started last spring.
It was a $7 million project to reconstruct the main road, stretching a mile and a half through town.

The project was expected to wrap up in November, but it’s ending ahead of schedule.
Business owners along the stretch, like Jeff O’Conner, who owns Rochester Smokehouse and BBQ, say they’re happy the construction is over.

“The guys have been out there working; I’ve been feeding them while they work, and they’ve been kind of keeping me in tune as to when it was going to reopen. They’ve done a nice job, and we’re glad the improvements are finally over,” O’Conner said.
Drivers are not totally in the clear just yet.
PennDOT says there will be partial closures next Monday on Adams Street as crews finish up work.
