PITTSBURGH — Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School celebrated the reopening of its South Side regional office on Monday.
The community held a kickoff event featuring food, art and games.
Regional Representative Jackie Laffey said events like this keep their students engaged.
Throughout the school year, the center will host various activities, including bingo and physical education, to provide online students with opportunities for social interaction.
“Social interaction is huge for all students to grow and to learn, so those activities that happen here allow people to share ideas. This way the kids are learning online and they’re able to come together and meet each other,” Laffey said.
The center is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
