LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Game Commission is looking for two people caught on video harassing a fox with snowmobiles.
The game commission said the illegal harassment of wildlife and attempted unlawful taking of a red fox happened in a field near the intersection of SR 501 and Locust Street in Heidelberg Township, Lebanon County, on the afternoon of Monday, Jan. 20.
The state game warden’s investigation suggested the fox was being chased through the field for more than 30 minutes by two people operating snowmobiles, which they used to run over the fox multiple times, the game commission said.
One of the people was operating a black snowmobile with yellow skis, dressed in black pants with a black and gray jacket and wearing a silver metallic helmet. The other person was operating a black and white snowmobile, wearing fluorescent orange pants, a black jacket and black helmet.
It is believed the suspects are residents in that general area, the game commission said.
Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to report it to the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s Southeast Region at 1-833-PGC-HUNT or the Operation Game Thief Hotline at 1-888-PGC-8001 or online at http://bit.ly/PGCOGT.
