Woman hurt in Munhall shooting; police looking for suspect

MUNHALL, Pa. — A woman was shot in Munhall on Monday night and police are looking for the suspect.

Emergency crews were called to the 3900 block of Main Street at 10:53 p.m., according to Allegheny County police.

First responders found a 30-year-old woman who was shot in the leg. She was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

Detectives determined the woman was outside a residence when she was approached by an armed male wearing a ski mask who demanded money. After a brief altercation, the male shot the woman one time in the leg and fled the scene, according to police.

The suspect is described as a thin, Black male. He is 5 feet, 5 inches tall.
