SOUTH PARK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A vehicle crashed into a pole in South Park Township, causing hundreds of homes to lose power.
Allegheny County dispatchers say emergency crews were called to the area of Brownsville Road and Sylvania Drive at 7:02 p.m. on Monday.
A person has been taken to a hospital from the scene.
West Penn Power reports over 700 customers without service in the area.
The Broughton Volunteer Fire Department said Brownsville Road is closed between East Park Drive and Maple Springs. Drivers are asked to make accommodations.
