Pirates claim Edwin Uceta from Tigers, transfer JT Brubaker to 60-Day IL

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Pirates claimed right-hander Edwin Uceta off waivers from the Detroit Tigers on Sunday and optioned him to Triple-A Indianapolis.

Uceta, 25, has pitched in the major leagues with the Los Angeles Dodgers (2021) and Arizona Diamondbacks (2022). In 24 career games, including one start, he is 0-3 with a 6.27 ERA.
