Pirates struggles continue in 14-4 Memorial Day loss to Giants

SAN FRANCISCO — For the first time since April 2, the Pittsburgh Pirates fell to below .500 with their 14-4 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Memorial Day at Oracle Park.

The Pirates stretch of poor play was again on display as they sit at 26-27 following the blowout loss.

Tucupita Marcano opened the game with a first-pitch double into left-center but ran into a double play after breaking for home on a flyout to end the inning. Marcano finished the game with three hits and two doubles.
