Pittsburgh-based law firm WH Burkley appoints new CFO

PITTSBURGH — A Pittsburgh law firm that more than doubled in size through a merger with a Cleveland firm in February has hired a new chief financial officer.

WH Burkley said Mark Stropkaj has come aboard as CFO, charged with overseeing its financial operations and playing a central role in developing and executing its financial strategy.

Stropkaj is a veteran executive at both law firms and companies, chiefly in the Pittsburgh region. Most recently, he was director of finance at GRB Law. During the past 30 years, he has also served as CFO at Meyer Unkovic & Scott, controller at Firewater Response and at J. Allan Steel; vice president of finance at International Steel Services and fiscal officer in the Allegheny County Treasurer’s office.
