PITTSBURGH — A Pittsburgh cat rescue says someone destroyed their shelters, threw out their food bowls and vandalized their space.
“Pittsburgh Hill District Cats” says volunteers had permission to set up the shelters in someone’s private home. While the homeowner is currently in the hospital, two volunteers check on the cats every day.
The group says they recently got threats from neighbors who oppose the colony.
“We will not be intimidated, however. While we work this out with the appropriate authorities, we are committed to replacing the shelters so the cats have a place to go this winter,” the volunteers said in a post to Facebook.
The rescue has created an Amazon wish list if you’d like to help them rebuild. Click here to access that list.
