PITTSBURGH — A home in Pittsburgh was intentionally set on fire late Friday night, investigators say.
A Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesperson said firefighters were sent to a home on the 3200 block of Rothpletz Street in the city’s Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood around 11:30 p.m.
Firefighters found the reportedly under-construction home fully involved in flames.
No one was inside at the time of the fire. A firefighter was taken to an area hospital for help due to trouble breathing.
The spokesperson said the Fire Investigation Unit determined the fire was intentionally set, so it’s being investigated as arson.
