Pittsburgh Pierogi Festival on hiatus due to ticket price disagreement

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Pierogi Festival announced Tuesday that it will be on a one-year hiatus for 2023.

The hiatus comes after a ticket price agreement couldn’t be reached with Kennywood Park, according to a press release.

The press release said the festival plans to return in 2024 with a new home and a new format, but with “the same family-friendly fun and food that Pittsburghers expect from the Pittsburgh Pierogi Festival.”

The festival began in 2014 and was hosted at Kennywood since 2017.
