PITTSBURGH — Some Pittsburgh Power fans paid upwards of $200 for season tickets and parking, but now that the team’s 2015 season has been canceled, fans are wondering if they’ll get a refund.

Rankin business owner Carl Lewis is a Pittsburgh Power fan through and through.

“We had an awesome season. We were 15-3, so looking forward to next season,” he said.

So, when the arena football team suddenly announced last month that it was ceasing all operation, Lewis was disappointed, but also anxious to get back $200 he paid in advance for season tickets and parking next year.

“That's a lot of money for someone like me,” said Lewis.

For weeks, he said he's been trying to get a refund with no response from the team.

“Ticket holders are assigned a rep, so I called my rep at least a half dozen times and left several messages. I never got calls back, which was a big disappointment,” said Lewis.

The team’s former community relations manager said he was told by the team’s co-founder, Matt Shaner, that season ticket holders will be reimbursed over the next few months. No specific dates were given.

Lewis said Power loyalists like himself deserve to have an answer out of respect.

“I feel disappointed the teams not here, but at least do the right thing by the people who were your fans,” he said.
