PNC President Michael Lyons to depart bank

PITTSBURGH — PNC is losing its president of almost a year.

Michael Lyons, who took the role last February, is leaving to become president and CEO-elect at Fiserv, Pittsburgh’s largest bank announced on Thursday.

“Mike has been with PNC for 13 years and has been instrumental in our growth and success,” Bill Demchak, PNC chairman and CEO, said in a prepared statement. “He is leaving to go to a great client and partner, and we wish him well. We have built a tremendous leadership team together, and I am confident that we won’t miss a step in our journey to becoming one of the largest and most successful banks in the country.”

PNC did not say when Lyons is departing or its plans for a new president.
