ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — Aliquippa Police were called three times in just about 24 hours to the Good to Go restaurant on Sheffield Road between Friday and Saturday.
“The people in this town have the right to live in peace. They should live in peace, and they get that right,” said Sgt. David Mosura. “They shouldn’t be woken up at 2 a.m. to people standing in the street yelling or gunshots or any of that stuff.”
The first call came just before 2 a.m. Friday. Aliquippa Police said they had a report of possible shots fired, but that was unfounded.
Three people were arrested and charged: Keyundah Jackson, Honesty Ruffin, and Asaunte Johnson.
Police were called back two more times in just about 24 hours.
The next calls about fights came in at 11:05 p.m. Friday and then 2:05 a.m. Saturday.
In both of these incidents, police said people were repeatedly told to leave because of fighting, yelling, and causing a disturbance.
Marissa Lindsey, Caprice Pope, Diamond McKenzie, Aniri Clark were arrested Friday night, police said.
Tevonn Williams, Darius Wise, Aaron Law, and Quaeshawn Thompson were arrested Saturday morning.
“One of the individuals was taunting the K9, trying to get him to jump,” Mosura said.
Police are beyond frustrated.
“If there’s a large crowd and we tell you to leave, and you don’t leave, arrest is being made,” Mosura said.
Jordan Good, the owner of Good to Go, said he doesn’t want drama and nuisance at his restaurant. He just recently moved to this location.
“I just want to keep a safe environment,” Good said. “I want all the issues and fighting to stop.”
Good said he has security working at night when they have events, IDs are checked, and the late events are for people 25 and older.
“A lot of these situations happening from people come from different bars, being intoxicated,” Good said. “My security was denying them at the door. Whatever happened in the parking lots out here was beyond me.”
Police said they are working to see what bars may have been involved, including Good to Go.
