Police: Butler funeral home owner sets up surveillance, catches employee stealing

BUTLER, Pa. — Police in Butler have arrested a funeral director accused of stealing from the funeral home he worked for.

Authorities said the owner of Thompson Miller Funeral Home set up his own surveillance video and caught Mark Eamigh, 33, stealing small amounts of money on three separate occasions.

When Butler City police officers arrested Eamigh, they found a glass pipe and marijuana seeds in his book bag and seven small heroin bags in his wallet, according to the criminal complaint. The complaint also said Eamigh confessed to the crime.

Police said Eamight stole a total of $69 in the three thefts.

Eamigh , who worked for the funeral home for about a year and a half, has been charged with theft, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia.
