PITTSBURGH — A police chase that started in McKees Rocks ended with an arrest made in Pittsburgh.

The McKees Rocks Police Department said the incident began on Washington Street when officers were notified of reports of a woman who had a gun.

Police said they found the woman, later identified as Aniyah Moore, inside her car at the corner of the street. They said she refused officers’ commands to put the car into park and sped away.

As she fled, police said she rammed a McKees Rocks K9 vehicle head-on and nearly ran the K9 officer over. That officer was struck in the hand and arm, police say.

The chase ended when police say Moore crashed her vehicle into bushes in the 3400 block of Brighton Road in Brighton Heights at 8 p.m. on Friday.

Officers from Zone 1 had to chase after her when she began running from the crash scene.

She was tased and taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Police said they searched her vehicle and found a 40 caliber, illegally modified, fully automatic Glock pistol inside. Moore is listed as a person not to possess a firearm.
