Police investigate fatal shooting in Lincoln-Lemington neighborhood

PITTSBURGH,None — Police are investigating after a man was fatally shot in Pittsburgh’s Lincoln-Lemington neighborhood early Wednesday morning.

Devonte Snowden, 19, was shot in the face multiple times through the window of his car on Somerset Street around 1 a.m., police said.

According to authorities, the car’s door was open, but police don’t know if Snowden was getting in or out of the vehicle.

Snowden’s mother, Michelle Snowden, said her son had a 1-year-old daughter named Niasia.

“He was a fair young man and a good young man,” Snowden said. “He just used to get himself in a little bit of trouble when he was younger, but he got himself together and found the Lord.”

Police have not released any information about potential suspects.

“You killed my son,” Snowden said. “You’re heartless and should turn yourself in because you shot the wrong person.”

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact police.
