Police looking for woman who held up pizza shop, gas station at gunpoint

PITTSBURGH — Authorities in Pittsburgh and Dormont are searching for a woman who held up a pizza shop and then a gas station Tuesday night at gunpoint.

Police said the woman first attempted to rob Jet’s Pizza in Dormont. An image from surveillance video of the incident shows the woman pulling what appears to be a firearm out of a Coach purse.

“My manager kept her composure. She was brave, and we pulled the silent alarm,” the owner of Jet’s Pizza said.

The woman left the pizza shop without getting any money, but she wasn’t done just yet.

Pittsburgh police said less than an hour later, the same woman robbed the Sunoco gas station on Banksville Road.

The woman is seen on surveillance video entering the gas station’s store and walking around for 10 minutes before heading toward the register.

In the video, she places her Coach purse on the counter before the cashier goes into the register and puts cash on the counter. The woman grabs the money and flees the scene in an SUV.

Authorities said the woman got away with $95 from the Sunoco.

"I have confidence to be able to find her and her accomplice, and it’s only a matter of time,” the owner of Jet's Pizza told Channel 11 News.

The robber is described as a white woman who is 25 to 30 years old and approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall. She was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and blue pants.

Anyone with information about either incident is asked to contact police.
