TURTLE CREEK, Pa. — Authorities are investigating after a Turtle Creek convenience store was robbed two nights in a row.
According to police, the 7-11 on James Street was robbed Thursday just before 11:30 p.m.
Detectives told Channel 11's Brandon Hudson the robber was wearing all black and a ski mask. He was carrying an assault rifle, and got away with an undetermined amount of money.
Don Watt, who owns at auto shop across the street from the 7-11, said he’s surprised to hear of the robberies.
Investigators said the store was robbed by two men on Wednesday night -- and they believe the same culprit was involved in both.
“Two nights in a row we’ve had some incidents that are uncommon in this neighborhood,” Watt said. “I was sort of shocked this morning when I woke up, turned on the news and saw it. I know everybody over there.”
Anyone with information on the robberies is asked to contact police.
“I’m just hoping they can catch the guys that are causing grief for everyone in the neighborhood,” Watt said.
