JEFFERSON HILLS, Pa. — A person is dead after being stabbed multiple times in Jefferson Hills.
Allegheny County dispatchers said the incident began on the 100 block of Arnoni Drive at 3:58 p.m. on Saturday.
Detectives with the Allegheny County Police Department said the initial call reported that someone had been shot at that scene.
When they arrived, police found a person unresponsive inside a house. They were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said the victim was a male. Their age and identity have not been released at this time.
Officers also learned the victim had not been shot, but had instead been stabbed multiple times.
Channel 11 saw SWAT units at the house on Arnoni Drive, which was closed until about 7 p.m.
At 7 p.m., the Jefferson Hills Police Department said the scene was safe and that the road would be reopened.
