PITTSBURGH — State police confirmed to Channel 11 News that they are searching for a halfway house resident who escaped while at UPMC Mercy hospital.

Police said 42-year-old Monterey Woodson of Wilkinsburg was taken there after receiving an injury at the Renewal Center.
He escaped from custody shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday.
Woodson is black, 5'7", 230 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.
He has tattoos on his chest and hands, as well as a Steelers logo on his right arm.
