PITTSBURGH — A president of a Pittsburgh youth football organization has been indicted by a federal grand jury following a 15-month Homeland Security Task Force investigation into a drug trafficking organization.

Martin Langford, along with seven others, including a name that was redacted, are charged in the indictment.

“This Indictment is another great example of law enforcement at all levels collaborating to take down an extensive cocaine trafficking organization within our district,” said United States Attorney Rivetti.

According to the paperwork unsealed Wednesday, Langford is charged with distribution of 500 grams or more of cocaine on two different dates, June 1 and 7, 2025 and conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine during the period between June 1, 2025, and Sept. 1, 2026.

The indictment says that Langford was previously convicted in 2004 for conspiracy to distribute 5 kilograms or more of cocaine.

“I’d like to thank our federal, state, and local partners for their collaboration, dedication, and tireless work throughout this investigation,” said Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Chief Jason Lando. “This Indictment reflects what can be accomplished when law enforcement agencies work together to disrupt drug trafficking. This partnership is also one of the reasons why we continue to see a decrease in shootings and homicides in our region, making Pittsburgh a safer place for all.”

Langford is the president of the Westside Mustangs Youth Athletic Association in Pittsburgh’s West End. His program also received Stop the Violence funding from the City of Pittsburgh. That taxpayer money was handed out to programs across the city to reduce violence in the community.

Langford was also recently honored by the Pittsburgh Courier as a man of excellence.

Others charged in the indictment include Terrance Bonner, 45, of Pittsburgh; Roddell Smalls, 53, of Pittsburgh; Maurice Tinsley, 45, of Bellevue; Justin Rumble, 47, of Pittsburgh; Oscar Stokes, 45, of Uniontown and Rashawdi Pugh, 47, of Aliquippa.
