PITTSBURGH — Two popular restaurants announced Tuesday that they plan on expanding locally.

Primanti's has 17 restaurants in the Pittsburgh area, and three in Florida.

The owners are also looking to eventually open restaurants in State College, Erie, Altoona and Wheeling.

The restaurant in Morgantown is expected to be open by the end of the year.

Meanwhile, Tim Hortons is getting ready to open its first store in Western Pennsylvania.

The Canadian-based company, known for its doughnuts and coffee, said it plans to open on Racetrack Road in Washington County in October.
