Raid at gas station nets synthetic marijuana, $50K in cash, gun

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — Police raided a New Kensington gas station Thursday afternoon that was selling synthetic marijuana.

Detectives told Channel 11 News they found more than 1,000 containers and almost 100 tablets at the Stop-N-Go on Constitution Boulevard.

Authorities said the officers also found a gun and $50,000 in a safety deposit box.

Five people are facing drug-related charges in the case, police said. Their names have not been released.

According to police, the owner and manager of the gas station admitted to being involved with the sale of synthetic marijuana.
