PITTSBURGH — Rapper Wiz Khalifa had quite a surprise for students at Taylor Allderdice High School in Pittsburgh's Squirrel Hill neighborhood Tuesday morning.
He showed up at his Alma Mater with hundreds of backpacks.

Khalifa is donating about 1,700 backpacks to students in several Pittsburgh schools, including Allderdice.
He spoke with the teens and took several pictures.

The students had no idea they were about to meet a superstar.
Khalifa’s message to the students was that hard work pays off.
"I love my school, I love Pittsburgh and I love being able to spread some positivity and give kids some hope," he said.
