PITTSBURGH — With inflation remaining high this holiday shopping season, many shoppers are finding bargains at reseller establishments.

Michael Smith, co-founder of “Binz” in Squirrel Hill, said they’ve noted a 30% percent increase in sales over the last few weeks.

The shop, located on Murray Avenue, resells an assortment of products, from returned Amazon items, to overstock and clearance products.

Smith said that nearly everything in the store is new, and most products are 40%-80% percent cheaper than if purchased from a big box retailer.

“We are actually licensed resellers, so we are able to bid on these items from wholesalers,” he explained. “Wholesalers will buy it from big box retailers by the tonnage ... it’ll come up for auction, and we bid on it.”

He said the business also serves to repurpose products that may have otherwise ended up in landfills.
