HOMESTEAD, Pa. — Residents had to evacuate an apartment building Friday after part of the roof collapsed in Homestead.

Police said the partial roof collapse happened at a building on Sixth Street and only affected two units

“They told us today the building inspector checked it out and said it was OK, but the fire chief won't let us stay overnight, so we have to go to a hotel tonight," said Jeff Gambs, a building tenant.

The Red Cross is helping the people from the two units affected by the partial roof collapse.

No one was hurt in the collapse.
