WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — Wednesday January 7, 2015 5 p.m. UPDATE: Police say Matthew Goodwin, of Grapeville, is charged in connection with the robbery.

Police said a man wearing a clown mask robbed a Westmoreland County Subway over the weekend.

Investigators said the robbery happened at the restaurant, on Route 30 in Hempfield Township, Saturday night.

“He had the scariest clown mask I’ve even seen,” the worker said. “I haven’t slept. I haven’t eaten. It just keeps replaying in my mind. I keep hearing his voice over and over.”

Surveillance video shows the man point a handgun at an employee and a customer before taking off with the entire cash register.

Paul White’s 17-year-old daughter was the customer inside at the time.

“The state trooper came over to me and told me my daughter couldn’t come with me right now because there was a gun to her head. I just broke down,” White said.

According to police, the clown mask was found outside behind the restaurant the next day. Officers said the man was also wearing a parka with a fur collar and took off in a white minivan.

“Every time the bell goes off, it keeps replaying in my head. It’s scary. I was afraid I was never going to see my kids again,” the worker said.
