None — PITTSBURGH -- Police are looking for clues after robbers targeted a jewelry store in Squirrel Hill overnight.

The break-in happened at Forbes Jewelry along Forbes Avenue.

Officers said the robber was in and out of the store in seconds. The owner said the robber didn’t get away with expensive merchandise.

"We have a lot of different pieces that are so much more expensive and more appealing," said the store owner Ella Livshim. "I advertized it in the window because it's a nice Valentine's gift. Maybe someone liked it so much they broke in for the pieces?"

City councilman Corey O'Conner said he's organizing a community meeting about the increase in break-ins in the area.

"We see it. People run up and down Forbes and Murray. Run in and rob the place and leave. It's tough to catch them unless you're here," O'Conner said.

Investigators said they hope surveillance video will help catch the jewelry store robber.

So far, investigators have not identified any suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
