BURGETTSTOWN, Pa. — Strong winds caused parts of a Washington County building under construction to collapse Wednesday night during the storm.

Channel 11’s Cara Sapida reported that part of the nearly completed roof of the new Star Lake Ford service department building in Burgettstown collapsed and walls began to buckle.

“Thank God that nobody got hurt. The building can be replaced, but lives and things can't,” said general manager Frank Dellaria.

Arthur Leathers was shocked to see the storms damage to the building’s roof.

“It looks like it just brought this whole thing down, all still attached, not even in pieces,” he said.

The new building was expected to open by September, but that will likely be pushed back.

There’s no word how much it will cost to repair the building.
