PITTSBURGH — Layer up if you are heading out and about, temperatures will fall through the 30s during the evening hours. Clouds build tonight, with more clouds expected Sunday ahead of the next system.
Sunday will be slightly warmer with highs near average in the upper 40s in the afternoon. Rain showers will develop later in the day by dinnertime and continue through the evening. Rain will impact travel Sunday evening and colder air will filter in behind this system for early next week.
Leftover showers will mix with flurries in spots Monday morning before ending. Wind chills in the morning will be in the teens in spots early this week, with the coldest air expected Tuesday morning. The best chance to see light snow showers in the area will also be on Tuesday as lake-effect snow develops for the day. The bulk of the snow from this will stay well north of our area but light snow showers will sneak south of I-80 during the daytime.
