AMBRIDGE, Pa. — Police are still investigating a shooting outside an Ambridge bar early Sunday morning that injured multiple people.
Investigators said a fight erupted inside the Colonial Grill on Merchant Street about 1 a.m., and then carried out onto the street. More than a dozen shots were fired shortly thereafter.
Officials said two people were shot, and two who injured as people ran for cover.
“It’s a very big concern. It was a very populated street that night, there were quite a few bars that were letting out,” Ambridge police patrolman Zadok Dismuke said.
Police are looking for a group of four men and four women who were seen on surveillance footage leaving the bar and driving away after the shooting.
Authorities said they have some good leads, but no arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call Ambridge police.
Gary Bywater, who works at a bike shop near the scene of the shooting, said he’s afraid the violence in the heart of the business district is going to keep customers away.
“We want to have a nice, friendly town to visit and to shop in, but places like this are not doing us any good at all,” Bywater said.
The Colonial Grill has not commented on the incident.
